Cookie & Storage Policy

Oryx does not use third-party cookies, analytics services, advertising networks, or social-media trackers. We do not set tracking cookies on your browser.

We do use your browser's built-in localStorage to keep you signed in and to remember a few small preferences. Strictly speaking these are not “cookies”, but for transparency we disclose them here.

• JWT access and refresh tokens. Used to keep you signed in. Access tokens are valid for 30 minutes; refresh tokens for 365 days. They are signed by us with HS256 and contain only your user ID and expiry.
• Theme preference. Whether you chose the light or dark theme.
• Dismissed banners. A small flag so we don't re-prompt you for things you have already dismissed (for example, the location-detection banner).

None of these values are sent to third parties. The JWT tokens are sent to our own backend at oryx.vitalstack.dev to authenticate your requests.

• Sign out in Oryx — this removes your tokens from localStorage.
• Browser settings. All major browsers let you clear site storage for a specific site. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge: open developer tools, find the Application or Storage tab, and clear storage for oryx.vitalstack.dev. Or use the browser’s “Clear browsing data” option.
• Private / incognito windows discard all storage when you close them.

Clearing your tokens will sign you out. Your account and data on the server are not affected.
